Customizing the Canvas Course Navigation Menu

Summary

This article describles how to display or hide specific tools from the Canvas Course Navigation Menu.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to the desired Canvas course.

  2. Click the Settings link in the left-hand Course Navigation Menu.

  3. On the settings page, click the Navigation tab.

  4. The Navigation settings contain two lists: enabled and disabled tools. To add a tool to your Course Navigation Menu, drag and drop the tool into the list of enabled tools.

    1. Alternatively, click the ⋮ button next to a disabled item, then click +Enable.

  5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
