Turn On Canvas Ally

The article lists the steps for turning on the Canvas Ally tool in your Canvas Course Site.

Instructions

  1. Go to the Canvas Course you wish to turn the Canvas Ally tool on.

  2. Select Settings from the course navigation menu.

  3. Select the Navigation tab.

  4. Locate the Accessibility Report select the three-dots, select Enable.

    1. Or Drag and Drop the Accessibility Report to the “visible” list at the top of the screen.

  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save.

  6. Verify the Accessibility Report now shows as available in the course navigation menu.

    1. Note, the tool could take up to 24 hours to fully “turn on” and process the course data.

When removing inaccessible content from your course, there will be a 24-48 hours delay before Canvas or Ally recognizes that the content is no longer present in the course.

If after waiting 24-48 hours, you still see deleted content showing on your Canvas Accessibility Report, please contact the Help Desk.
