Canvas - Blue Integration
This article summarizes accessing course evaluation tasks from Canvas.
Overview
There are several ways to access open course evaluation tasks from Canvas. Alternatively, tasks can also be accessed by logging into Blue directly: https://my-boisestate.bluera.com/.
Only students or instructors enrolled in a course via PeopleSoft will see evaluation tasks in Canvas.
Students or instructors that have been manually enrolled in a course (via Canvas or Middleware) will not see evaluation tasks.
Canvas Login Pop-Up for Students
Upon initial login to Canvas, students will see a pop-up reminding them to complete open course evaluations.
The pop-up occurs only when students have open course evaluations.
Students can dismiss the pop-up or click Remind me Later.
Canvas Course Navigation Menu
All courses include a Course Evaluations navigation item unless an instructor edits their navigation menu and disables it.
Clicking/tapping on the menu item displays, a list of open evaluation tasks for the current course or for other courses you are enrolled in. The message “No course evaluation tasks at this time” displays only if you have no open tasks.
Instructors: Open question personalization or subject management tasks display.
Students: Open fill-out tasks display.
Account Navigation Menu
All Canvas accounts have a Course Evaluations item in their Account Navigation.
Click/tap on your profile picture then Course Evaluations.
All open evaluation tasks assigned to you display.
