Resolving Common Qualtrics Single Sign-On Account Migration Issues

Log in to Qualtrics with your Boise State username and password at this Boise State Qualtrics login page https://boisestate.qualtrics.com (right-click to open this content in a new tab). If you have existing surveys in Qualtrics, this will require some action to migrate your content.

In this article you will find answers to common problems campus Qualtrics users experience when migrating their existing accounts to new Boise State single sign on accounts. Problems with migration generally fall into two categories:

  1. You may have forgotten your Qualtrics password and need to reset it before migrating your account.

  2. You may see a screen asking you to “Complete the captcha” however no captcha image is displayed.

Resetting a forgotten Qualtrics password

  1. Open a browser window and navigate to www.qualtrics.com

  2. Click Login in the top right-hand corner of the page. You will be taken to the Qualtrics login page.

  3. Click Forgot in the right-hand corner of the password box.

  4. Enter your BSU email address and follow the process to complete your password reset

After your password is reset you can perform the account migration by following the steps below in the Migrating your existing Qualtrics account section.

Resolving issues with “Complete the captcha” screen

A small number of campus Qualtrics users have reported seeing a screen after entering their existing Qualtrics account information asking them to “complete the captcha”, however, no captcha image is displayed.  This typically occurs after a number of failed login attempts. Qualtrics has informed Boise State that this is a known issue that they are working to resolve.

If you are presented with a screen asking you to “complete the captcha”  and you are sure you are using the correct Qualtrics account information during the migration process, simply close your browser window and wait at least 10 minutes before attempting the migration process again.

If you are unsure whether you are entering the correct Qualtrics account information, wait 10 minutes for the account log out to clear then refer to the steps above to reset your Qualtrics password. After resetting your password you can complete the migration process using the steps below.

Migrating your existing Qualtrics account

  1. Open a browser window and navigate to the Boise State Qualtrics landing page at http://oit.boisestate.edu/software/qualtrics/ (right-click to open this content in a new window)

  2. Click "Login To Qualtrics". You will see a new Boise State Login screen

  3. Sign in with your myBoiseState username and password. The FIRST time you log in, a message will appear stating, “This seems to be the first time you are logging in to Qualtrics”

  4. Click "I already have a Qualtrics account"

  5. Enter your Qualtrics Username and Password you have been using prior to this change
