Canvas does not have a Journal feature, but there is a workaround available.
Instructions
Create a Canvas Group Set that is made up of 1 group per student. Here is a screenshot example of creating a Group Set called “Journals.”
Create a Discussion Board Assignment that is assigned to this Group Set.
This emulates a private journal that we are used to in Blackboard.
