How to Post to the Discussion

When activity instructions or a prompt are in the discussion description in the LMS, the steps to create an initial post are brief.

You may find it helpful to draft your post in a separate document then paste your work in the discussion space. When you are ready to share your initial post, follow these steps:

  1. Click Reply.

  2. Enter your post in the editor. Use the tools above the text entry space for formatting, adding hyperlinks, or embedding images as needed.

  3. Click Post Reply to complete your post.

If you need additional support, refer to How do I reply to a discussion as a student? in the Canvas Student Guide. For technical assistance, contact the Help Desk at 208-426-4357 (HELP) or helpdesk@boisestate.edu.
