Panopto Captions in Canvas Course Folders
This article provides instructions on updating your Panopto Canvas Course folder settings to enable machine captions.
Instructions
Log into your Canvas course.
Click Panopto Video in the course menu. (Figure 1)
Click the More actions menu in the upper right (three stacked dots).
Select Settings.
Choose Settings in the course folder panel.
Scroll to Captions & Audio Descriptions.
Set Automatically caption new sessions using = Automatic Machine Captions. Your selection will automatically save and be in effect for videos going forward.
If you recorded videos in your course folder prior to updating the caption settings, access each of your videos in edit made and import machine captions.
