RegisterBlast (PACS): Requesting Proctoring & Certification Services-Proctored Exams for Students with Accommodations

Summary:

This article outlines how to request a proctored exam at the Boise State Proctoring & Certification Services for students with accommodations.

Effective January 5, 2026

Exams are subject to an approval process based on available seating on the dates requested. Please be sure to submit your requests at least 5 days prior to the start date.

Critical To Know

To request exam administration for a student with an approved Educational Access Center (EAC) accommodation, take note of the following before submitting an exam request.

  • Exams can only be accepted in full-day increments. Exams cannot run for less than one full day.

  • Request exams at least 5 business days before the exam date.

  • Submit one request per exam for the entire semester to give your students ample time to schedule their exam times.

  • Exercise flexibility when choosing exam date ranges as seating is limited.

If you need to change your request, email pacs@boisestate.edu 5 business days before the start of the exam date range.

Instructions

  1. Log in to PACS’ RegisterBlast.

  2. Click the ➕ New Exam button.

  3. Enter the following details:

    1. Exam Name.

    2. Under Select the exam group/s, select the correct course/section.

      How to select the exam group for test.
    3. Date range the exam will be available.

    4. Exam length in minutes (do not include time accommodations).

  4. Upload exam materials (if applicable):

    1. If this is a paper/pencil exam, upload the exam file.

  5. Complete the “Additional Information” section:

    1. Emergency contact number (office, cell, or department).

    2. Course name and section number.

  6. Testing Aids:

    1. Select Yes or No.

    2. If Yes, list the approved aids (e.g., calculator, notecard, scratch paper, textbook).

  7. Exam Format:

    1. Select Paper Exam, Online Exam, or Combination.

    2. If Online or Combination, also include:

      1. Exam password

      2. Exam URL

  8. Eligibility and Restrictions:

    1. List the students who will take the exam at PACS.

  9. Additional Notes:

    1. Enter any other information we should know to administer the exam properly.

  10. Click Submit to finalize your entry.
