Program Plan Sites

This article lists the requirements and steps for requesting a plan site.

Instructions

Gather the following information and include it as part of a help ticket

  1. Plan codes for the majors and/or minors who need to be added. These are the abbreviated department names. If you don’t have this information, contact your department chair.

  2. Username(s) of faculty and/or staff to be added to the plan site as course administrators. The easiest way to do this is to provide a list of their emails, which contain their Boise State usernames.

  3. Course name to assign to the plan site.

  4. (Optional) If you have your content ready, and just need it copied into the new plan site, provide the SIS ID from the course’s settings page or a direct link to the course.

  5. Contact the Help Desk (https://www.boisestate.edu/oit/assistance/).

Once your help ticket is submitted, a member of the LTS team will use the information provided to create a plan site using Middleware. The result will be an unpublished Canvas course site.

It may take up to 24 hours for students associated with the plan codes provided to be enrolled in the plan site; new students will be automatically enrolled as soon as they are associated with the plan codes provided.
