Canvas FAQ (Instructor): How can I organize the Speedgrader by Groups?

Summary:
This article demonstrates how to enable and use the Large Course Setting in a Canvas Course.
This setting is useful for:
Classes that use the Groups in Canvas.
Large classes that break students into Groups for Teaching Assistant grading assistance.
Any time an instructor wishes to sort the Speedgrader by Group instead of by individual student
Activate the “Large Course” Setting in the Canvas Course
Go to the Canvas Course this setting needs to be activated in.
Select Settings from the course navigation menu.
Scroll to the middle of the Settings page. Check the box for “Large Course: Launch Speedgrader Filtered by Student Group”
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the blue Update Course Details button.
The setting is now activated. Go to Speedgrader to use.
To Deactivate, follow these same instructions: uncheck the setting and Save the change.
Using Groups to Filter the Speedgrader
Go to the Canvas Course this setting is activated in.
Select Grades from the course navigation menu.
Go to the Speedgrader for an assignment.
Use the drop-down box to filter student groups and grade the assignment.
Can I disable the Groups Filter when I don’t need it?
Yes, any time you don’t need the ability to sort the Speedgrader by group, disable the setting.
