Manage Attendance Settings

This article describes how to manage the attendance settings for iClicker.

Instructions

You can find attendance related settings in the Course Details and Attendance tabs of your course settings.

  1. Access your Course Settings, then go to Course Details (if it's not already open).
  2. In Course Details, find Course Activities. Here, you can decide whether you want to use iClicker for Polling, Quizzing, and Attendance or Attendance-only.
  3. Scroll down to Meeting Times and ensure that the times entered are correct. This is especially important if you plan to set Attendance to auto-run.
  4. Change to the Attendance tab.

Take Attendance Each Class

If you want to take attendance when the class session begins, make sure Take Attendance with Class Sessions is set to On.

Alerts

If you want iClicker Cloud to highlight students with over a certain number of absences, check the box under the Alerts section and set the minimum number of absences you want to highlight.

Auto-Run

Auto-Run is especially useful if you only want to use iClicker for attendance and have no need for the iClicker Cloud desktop software. Auto-run attendance can be run from the browser.

Check the box under the Auto-Run section and set the time frame for which you want students to be able to check in on class days.
