Boise State has agreed to participate in the beta testing of the new McGraw Hill migration tool for Canvas.

This tool allows instructors to easily migrate from LTI 1.1 to LTIA without having to delete the legacy assignments and redeploy.

This article summarizes the new workflow instructors will encounter with McGraw Hill Connect.

Instructions

Step 1: Reset the LTI 1.1 Pairing and Migrate

Click here for the steps you need to take to pair and migrate your content.

If you have never paired the legacy tool, skip to Step 2. You can just launch McGraw Hill Integration 1.3 and start the migration process. No need to pair with the legacy tool first.

If there are already grades in Connect, run a manual grade sync after migration.

  1. Click on McGraw Hill Connect in the course navigation and click Reset Section Pairing.

  1. Go to Settings > Navigation.

    1. Disable McGraw Hill Connect.

    2. Enable McGraw Hill Integration 1.3.

  2. Click on the McGraw Hill Integration 1.3 in the course navigation.

  1. Wait for the “Upgrade to LTIA 1.3” panel.

    1. Click Migrate and Pair Now to begin the migration process.

    2. When prompted, click Select next to the appropriate section to pair your Connect section as normal. The migration process will continue. It will take about 20-30 seconds (it may take more or less time depending on how many assignments are in the course).

Do not close the migration window once the migration process is underway.

Click here for the steps you need to take to relink and confirm assignments.
