| Basics of using iClicker for polling and quizzing during class time The instructions below assume you have already set up iClicker in your course. Go to creating an instructor account and creating an iClicker course to learn more about setting up your course. |

Start
- Log in to the podium computer
- Log in to iClicker Cloud software
- Hover over the class and click on Start Class
Launch Polling
- Click Polling on the floating widget
- Launch any PowerPoint or other course materials you are planning on presenting for polling or quizzing
- Click on the Slide Show mode
- Click on the chevron and choose question format type
- Multiple choice is the default
- Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
- Click on the Stop button (red button)
- Advance to the next slide
- Click on the chevron and choose question format type
- Click on the Start button (green button) to poll
- Click on the Stop button (red button)
- Repeat Steps for more polling questions

Click the iClicker Cloud shortcut on the podium computer and log into your iClicker account.
Select the desired course and click Start Class or create an Event for a general audience or non-student session to initiate the polling. This opens the polling widget.
Drag the polling widget (the blue cloud icon) to the top right corner of the screen.
Click the polling icon (the checkmark in a circle).
Open your PowerPoint presentation in Slide Show mode.
Click the drop-down menu to choose the question format type. Multiple choice is the default.
Click Start (green play icon) on the polling widget to start polling.
Click Stop (red stop icon) to stop polling.
Advance to the Powerpoint next slide to poll another question.
Repeat steps 6-9 as applicable for each polling question.

to return to the main menu.
(Optional) Click End Class with Exit

Poll to ask students to give post-class feedback.
