This article covers what courses are removed from course evaluation per the Provost’s Office direction. It also covers how to contact the Provost’s Office to remove a course from evaluation.

Warning

If a course has been removed from evaluation by the Provost’s office set of general rules, we cannot include it back into evaluation. The Provost office created a new rule set as of January 2022; your course may have previously been evaluated but is not being evaluated any longer.

Instructions

How to request that your course be removed from evaluation by the Provost’s Office:

Email LTS@boisestate with particular details about your request including:

  • Subject and course number

  • Rationale

  • Copy Department Chair who must give their approval

  • LTS will forward to Michelle Payne and Zeynap Hansen in the Provost’s office for approval

Note

We cannot guarantee that a course will be removed from evaluation in the semester it is requested. It will take effect for the following semester.

The Office of the Provost manages the course evaluation process at Boise State.

The Courses Currently Excluded from Course Evaluation Google document lists the courses currently excluded from evaluation.


Requests to include or exclude courses from course evaluation require department approval and approval from the Office of the Provost. To get started,

  1. Email LTS@boisestate.edu with the course subject, catalog number, and reason the course should be or included in or excluded from course evaluation.

  2. Copy your department chair, who must approve the request before LTS can take action.

  3. Learning Technology Solutions (LTS) will forward the email to the Office of the Provost for approval.
